Default Cirrhaea dependens

While most Gongoras flower their spikes successively, Cirrhaeas come all at once. The show lasts only four days, but is rampant.
Grow them intermediate to warm, in semi-shade. No basket needed.

That is stunning...too bad it's so short lived. Is it highly fragrant, like Stans?

I bring it to my basement, especially when I exspect warm summer days. So flowering lasts 1-2 days longer. Couldn't notice a scent as described, neither in the greenhouse nor in the living room. I think that I would smell something, if 100 flowers were fragrant. Eventually conditions were not exactly what makes them fragrant.

Up to now only two hybrids with Stanhopea and one with Gongora are registered, using Cirrhaea saccata twice and dependens once as a pollen parent.
Good suggestion, it might be worth to cross it with another Cirrhaea species, as all Cirrhaeas flower around the same month.
