Default catasetum Frilly Doris 'SVOII' x Lucis 'Danas Bird of Paradise'

Hello all , I have waited a long time for this plant's buds to open. I got it a year ago from Fred Clarke when he came to our society's meeting. The plant was in bud for over a month and a half. At least. Its flowers are about 3 inches across. But I think the coolest part is that the lip curls backward at the tip. Hope you like it .

No, it's not scented.

You know, I love the flowers on this plant, but its leaves look terrible! It got s few cuts from just being outside, but I think most are from when it was in me and my brother's treehouse. Some guests came over and piled in there. And then I think it fell off the bench a few times too!

The great thing about this group of orchids is that they drop their leaves every year, so if they are looking ratty, just wait! New ones will pop up in the spring.
