Okay so normal care requirements. I do find interesting how they say to spray the top of the medium though..

If people don't mind a diversion off topic: Bud, what were those 7 plants?

four years ago I was given these basic must haves in a collection for an orchid grower....
I cut and paste the email he sent me:

"....1) Paph Frank Smith (Paph Norito Hasagawa X Paph rothschildiana)
2) Paph Ron Williamson (Paph niveum X Paph primulinum)
3) a mounted keikei of my Phal pulchra that is just starting to spike
4) a basketed dividision of Bulb Doris Dukes
5) a mounted, 2 years out of flask young plant of Den aphyllum, which should bloom this coming spring.
6) a Cattleya Burana Beauty
7) a Vanda coerulea
In the spring I will send you a Catasetinae plant, not sure which one yet. I will include basic growing instructions for each of the plants that you will then have to rethink for your growing conditions. Don't panic, none of the plants that I am sending are difficult to grow and will adjust nicely to your growing conditions. Consider them an early Christmas present. lol"-

*I have now an eclectic collection of orchids based on these few....since I know that they will grow on my windowsill I have been brave enough to grow Vandas and Mokaras my largest is an11 year old Euanthe sanderiana that though the years have produced five keikis and two of them are now separated as an individual plant.

Most excellent! Both the gift, and the giver. I can see why you're excited kindrag.

A question: when you separated the "baby," why did you cut off it's leaf?
