Hmmm I'll just keep an eye on them.... FOR NOW...
Since the orchids are outside now, I want to try to avoid using anything that I don't need to...

Also, I have lost my patience, and I have watered all the catasetinae to some extent now. It is g*&^%$ summer now, and you plants need to learn! lol

Schedule? Growth patterns for mine are all over the map. Some are fully leafed, some barely getting started. They'll do what they want when they want to do it... I just sit back, give them the best conditions that I can, and watch the show.

The majority of my plants are usually getting watered by Memorial Day. Right now, the majority of my plants are not all that close to getting watered!

Hmm, yeah, right now we're having "April showers bring May flowers" weather lol. So a bit behind schedule.

So the ants are still patrolling, but their numbers have decreased since they ate all the sap (or the rain washed it away).

A spider decided to move in

Also, something has been taking tentative nibbles of the very tips of random leaves. I'm not sure that my cat isn't the culprit...

Wow, I'm amazed at the speed that these things drink (I guess I forgot). Yesterday I fed concentrated fertilizer, and left a good resevoir of liquid (~1/3 cup?) in the larger catasetums. Today -- all gone

Heck ya! PET method really supercharges them with all the extra moisture. If it was in a pot, you'd probably just water a few times a week or when the media was dry, not realizing it wants soooo much more! lol
