Gorgeous.
My catasetum witchcraft is pushing the spike now. I know there is male and female spike, and one is more desirable than other, but not sure which one and how it works. Any short explanation for newbie to this gorgeous orchid species? Many thanks

Something to admire. I wish I had more female flowers on my own Catasetums.

it is easier to get male flower under low light cultivation, can't remember the minimum candle foot light for catasetum cultivation. it is easier to get a female under bright light but getting a female is also multifactorial and it is always easier to induce male than female flowers

me too,,,,,for some species, it seems rather impossible for me to get a female in my microenvironment!!
