Stanhopea bulb withuot roots

I have one big question. Few days ago I got 1 Stanhopea pseudo bulb, without roots. Just pseudobulb, with it's leave. So the question: is the any chance that it will grow new roots? And what should I do to increase the possibility to grow new roots? Higher temperature, humidity? O, and at it was told, it's Stanhopea tigrina.

No problem....

I had the same thing given to me at the start of summer (Oct/Nov 2012) and it developed 2 new growths simultaneously. Now it has 3 bulbs with leaves.

This is what I did....in a ~100mm pot I put some scoria in the bottom for drainage. Then filled the pot with free draining but moisture retentive orchid mix. Then put the bulb in the middle of the pot very slightly buried in the mix. Then surrounded the bulb and the top of the mix with sphagnum moss about 10mm thick. This is kept moist from now on.

Keep fairly shaded and within a few weeks it should put out a new growth... depends of course on tempertures. If you are in spring this should work the best.

You can also take a plastic bag with some sphagnum moss, place the bulb in the middle, fill in some water, tie ut up and hang it in a place with bright indirect light. This way it keeps evenly moist, and the moss works as antiseptic agent.

Thank you euplusia for advise. I will it. But one question: today I red about this sphag-n-bag method, and in different sources found that the plant should be placed in shady place, because it stimulates the roots growing, so how is it better, bright or shady place?
