Default Stanhopea wardii

Or at least it is labelled Stanhopea wardii... I know these are often mislabelled. Smells great.

Very nice flowers, Rob. The spots/blotches look like they almost form stripes. If it's a wardii, it certainly has atypical markings for that species. My wardii is the ho-hum "garden variety," but it smells good too.

Very nice orchid. Fragrance is always a plus.

I believe what you have is not the species wardii, but rather a hybrid of wardii X tigrina. The name would then be Assidensis. Still a lovely bloom by all means.

I'm open to that... I don't think I've ever seen a properly labeled stanhopea come to judging. I'll look at some pictures of Assidensis and ruminate on it for a while.

For sure it's not a Stan wardii, much probably a hybrid. I agree with Scott, Stan Assidensis is good guess!
