Default Mormodes buccinator

I have this buccinator now blooming for the first time in my house and I am really happy by the pinky ivory color of the lip. The dark stripes of the petals make a really good contrast with the delicate color of the lip. The scent as ussual for buccinators, strong menthol fragance.

Really lovely, Bruno. They look like little porcelain sculptures.

Bruno, that one is absolutely charming! Really, really nice! If I understand it correctly it is not a common colour for the species, is it?
Congratulations to such beauty and thanks for sharing!

To tell you the truth I do not know if this color is common or not. I have seen it in others collections too and even more pinky than the one I am showing. I know that depending of the region in which they come from colors varies very much. As I mentioned before mormodes are poorly studied and nobody has mapped carefully the distribution of the different species through out the country. Challenge work for biologists jejeje.
