My only piece of advice would be to add the media when the roots haven't really formed yet. I suspect at least a few roots or root tips will be broken when adding the media. Luckily, with a clear pot you'll be able to see the roots crawling the down the side of the pot even with the media. Even the roots deep inside the media will show themselves once they hit the bottom, so you'll always know when its best to water (i.e., when they hit the bottom of the pot).

Understood. Will gently add spag moss around the roots, and first water when they hit the bottom of the pot.

Another clue... When a second flush of roots emerge it is probably ready to start watering
