Stanhopea tigrina f. albescens Female
Default Stanhopea tigrina f. albescens

First time blooming for this one... While the typical form is characterized by very dark burgundy markings, this one is very pale. Not alba - it shows some soft pink. But almost ghostly. Photo #4 was taken in the early morning just as it w was opening, the others when it was fully open. (As is typical, the flowers only last a few days) I won't see the typical form until at least mid-July, just seeing the beginnins of spikes. So this one is on a different schedule. I include a photo of the typical form (from a prior year) just for contrast.
