It's blooming a little late this year, and 5 spikes opening up in sequence. It's a shame that I won't get a big show but I love that the short lasting blooms continue for a while.

The fragrance is a wonderful ginger-citrus. It's definitely one of my favorite plant fragrances!

Thanks! I got it 3 years ago.

I think it's well worth the wait for this one!

Really nice! It is an oddly late bloom though. Has your incredibly wet weather the year delayed it?

This bloomed in March last year, and in late March this year. Since I grow these indoors during the winter, I doubt it has much effect on blooming. It did seem to spike after I watered it heavily... it did not seem to like a second watering after it started to spike. Could just be a coincidence.

Fantastic. The blooms of this hybrid look so much like Clowesia rosea's that it's hard (at least for me) to tell them apart. I do think, however, that rosea's fragrance is to my nose much more like cinnamon than citrus. Clowesia warscewiczii, although not so prominent in Rebecca's looks, definitely contributes to her great fragrance. Congrats on your blooms. They really are lovely.

Mine were only a few weeks ahead of yours. And maybe 3 weeks later than usual, mine usually bloom in February and this year waited until March) I watered not at all. (Also in the GH so outdoor temperature would have only a modest effect. ) Light might have been a factor - Along with being chilly and wet (from which the plants were protected) it was also darker than usual from all the cloud cover.

My Cl Rosea is in bloom right now. My Cl Rebecca Northern bloomed a few weeks ago

Both smell similar to my nose.
