I probably have very similar conditions to you. I got a young plant of a Clowesetum and it bloomed after 3 years, and had approx. 5 bulbs, with the new one being gigantic compared to the previous years growth. It didn't bloom the year after but the bulbs were much smaller. I think it's because in the summer it went 3 weeks without water and in a dim place during my vacation. The same is happening this year, so next summer I'll probably take the plant with me to France since I don't have a plant sitter!

7h of full sun behind a south window is what mine gets, more or less. If I were to stick it on my balcony it would get less hours of sun than that. (west facing). Following advice I got here, every year I repot it with the lower 1/3 of pot filled with composted horse manure and the rest is sphagnum. Then top dressed with slow release fert and I water with fertilizer (dosage all the other orchids get) every watering.

That’s cool! I’d love to see that potting set up. Who on OB gave you that potting advice? Was that Ramon from waaaay back?

No, it wasn't that long ago! I had to look it up again, it was Subrosa who was potting his Cats that way, along with a handful of other people.

Not sure what this freak’s doing. Look like spikes but the top growth is spitting roots. 🤔
