Clowesia Rebecca Northen 'Grapefruit Pink'
In full bloom, with a wonderful citrus fragrance. The plant is still in full dormancy...no water. The new growth won't even start for another month or more. So, to anthropomorphize it, it is sound asleep, perhaps dreaming of pollination?

Not necessarily... spikes tend to sneak up on you (so look closely) And exact blooming time can vary with conditions (or whatever inspires plants). Looking back at history for my plant, it has bloomed as early as end of January and as late as early March.

Thanks, all! I wish the technology existed to share the fragrance.
