Default Is this new growth on Bulbophyllun Nipondhii?

Wondering if these new growths will be a flowers? New to bulbophyllums. Hope my photos are good enough to be able to tell. I bought 3 mounted about two months ago.

If you are talking about those thin things (it’s hard to see from the pics) yes, those are flower spikes. Now, whether they actually bloom rather than blast, is another thing entirely. If they are still growing and the color looks good on the spike then they should open up soon

Tamilynn,check out Internet Orchid Species Photo Encyclopedia for fotos and some info. Great site for all orchids but it appears you have spikes with blooms to follow. Bulbos are a fave of mine but post fotos when you can. Good luck!

By blasting I mean the bud dying before it opens. I have had this problem with bulbos (or any orchid..) that were shipped in bud or were already developing a spike. Change in environment can cause buds to blast or drop. If these spikes developed after you received it, you should be fine. The only other time I have had issues with bud blast on a bulbo, or a bloom not opening properly, is when I was growing a couple indoors and my humidity was too low.
