Default Growth question

When my B. Echinolabium arrived, there was dead, mushy new growth. The mush just fell onto the media. My question is, will the plant make a new growth to replace the dead mush or not?

That's going to depend upon exactly what died. Can you post a photo of the plant?

I can't take a pic right now because it's nighttime but it still basically the same as it arrived except 2 old bulbs (one super tiny and the other yellowing) fell off when I was inspecting the plant.

The part that died is, I am pretty sure, a new bulb at the end of the rizhome.

Let me say it clearer:
When the plant just arrived to my home, I opened it and saw that it had new growth in the form of a new bulb, but unfortunately the super humid and moist conditions inside the packaging caused it to turn into black mush. This is the part that "died".

I am asking if the plant will make another new bulb or if it will wait for some time until making a new bulb.

Assuming that's the "growth front", it will be set back a bit, but sometimes, the dormant "eyes" from older growths will become active and start anew.

Treat it well, and be patient!
