I wouldn't really like to tell anyone but at this stage of the game I really wouldn't know the difference.

Default Plants are in trouble

My purchase was made on February 2nd and I waited patiently for this winter sale purchase.

I was telephoned Tuesday the 7th of February and told by sender that my orchid order would need to be upgraded because of inclement weather.

She told me they would need to charge an additional amount to my credit card in which the original purchase was made in which I agreed after she assured me that my order would be safely in my hands on Thursday the 9th (2 day).

I complained when it not arrive after then and asked for compensation but I was told that the matter was beyond their control and assured they had packed with 48 hour heat packs (real comforting to know 84 hours later)

This is how these plants look now. They were found on the 10th of February after work left outside in the cold on my front staircase all day.

I don't presume that they are in good condition after doing all that I could do for them on my part.

Was the packing material still somewhat moist? The Masdie probably had some moist sphagnum, then was wrapped in newspaper? The Bulbo probably was in a clear plastic sleeve?

The bulbos will be probably be fine if they are still firm (not popsicles.) They drop leaves the first time they dry out, but recover if it's only once.

Is the Masdevallia still sort of stiff, and the leaves remain more or less in the same orientation when you pick up the bare-root plant, or are the leaves extremely floppy? It's unlikely your package froze, so if there's any trouble, it would more likely be due to being too dry.

I really think that your plants are fine. If not, I have no doubt that Andy's will work with you.
