Bulbophyllum Phalaenopsis Male
Default Bulbophyllum Phalaenopsis

Its summer time in Baltimore, Maryland. I moved out almost all of my orchid collection except for some giant bulbophyllum species. Every year, I take advantage the good weather and let all of my plants back to nature again. I installed aluminet shade (60%) in the area adjacent to the greenhouse.Unfortunately, bulb. phalaenopsis stayed inside the greenhouse because of its huge size. I have 50 mature bulb. phalenopsis and the longest leave is around 43 inches. My bulb. spiesii is hanging in the back with leaves 36 in. long. The bulb. fletcherianum hanging closed to the door has 30 in leaves. The rest has 24 in leaves. I also have 20 bulb. phalaenopsis seedlings ouside the greenhouse. Moving out these giant bulbos is very difficult. Hopefully, some of them will be blooming this coming fall and my greenhouse will be filled with heavenly aroma.
