Default Bulbophyllum arfakianum var. alba

Got this in February and never thought it would bloom this soon, I did not even notice the flowers until the first one was almost open, it blended in so well with the leaves of the plant. Extremely happy with my surprise!bump

In the thumbnail I thought the blooms looked like chameleons. Weird and wonderful.

Carol,
So far have not noticed any odor, but then I normally don't wake up early to see.

Many of the "Bulbophyllum arfakianum var. alba" being sold are actually a hybrid : Bulbophyllum Hsinying Grand-arfa = (grandiflorum x arfakianum).

Although the flowers lack the usual colouring of the normal form, it cannot be considered at alba as that by definition means lack of any purple/red pigments. More aptly called quasi alba or albescent.
