Hello:

My Bulb. Elizabeth Anne 'Buckleberry' is now in bloom too. I picked it up at the Cherry City Orchid show two years ago, it has been putting out new growths since that time. I did not know if I could bloom it or not since I grow indoors under lights and on windowsills. But I decided to get it anyway, just to see if I could get it to bloom.

Now it has finally bloomed with three bloom stems with a total of 15 flowers. The blooms are 4 1/4 inches tall. The large size of the blooms were a surprise to me.

I have grown this plant with an eastern exposure that got filtered morning sun until about 11:00 a.m. The plant is currently in a south window where it gets filtered light all afternoon.

This is a definitely non-picky plant, it has been growing well potted in a well-draining mix and it gets whatever the humidity level that is in my home. The living/dining area where I grow does get cooler at night and during the day than the rest of the house. I have the furnace set at 68 F for the winter and that room tends to stay 4 degrees cooler during the day during our cold weather.

Do you have an orchid society nearby? Maybe they'd want to go in together on buying a flask.
