This is covered in flowers. That's the nice thing about orchids, they sit there for a year looking like nothing special and then, just when you are about to give up on them...Flowers! |

Well, it's in a flat plastic basket and is growing out all around it. I'll try and take a photo of the entire plant tomorrow.

These flowers are about 3/4in x 5in. The plant is in a 4 inch plastic basket.

Thanks Laura. I hope I don't ask too many questionns. I'm rather new to bulbos and want to learn everything I can about them.
I just bought this grapewood tree and I am trying to figure out what to put on it. I want minis and have considered 3 or 5 tingabarium to make a big splash when they bloom. I'm not sure if that is the best way to go, or have several different plants so something may be in bloom more often.
Any suggestion? The tree is 10" high and 11" wide. I don't think I want anything on the base because I'm afraid the plant might ramble and not be able to sit flat.

Laura...another job well done! 
M...that's a GREAT piece to do some orchid mounting! I love it! If it were mine, I'd try to plant 4 different orchids, each with a separate bloom season. That way, hopefully, something will always be blooming on it 
Please let us know what you decide, I'm looking forward to seeing pictures once you've got it set up. 
From my own experience, just make sure you choose 'chids that take the same type of lighting.

Hi M, Mounting is my next move. Still too nervous to attempt at this point. Now, wouldn't you have to also make sure they grow about the same speed so one doesn't overpower the others? Is that ever taken under consideration? Like a Sophronitis cernua is quite small and flowers throughout the year, but some grow much faster.....right? This is more of a "train of thought" to your dilemma of choices. I am still trying to get up the nerve to try mounting. I'm a chicken!
