Very interesting plant. Bulbo's have begun to catch my eye, since they'd probably make great companions for my pescoroids.

I take it this plant is a hybrid of B. echinolabium?

Yes, mine specifically is B. lobbii 'Kathy's Gold' x B. echinolabium 'Big Red'

Mine is soooo close to opening! It seems to be so slow

Oh, and what I thought were two new growths turned out to be another two spikes. As soon as I got home from vacation I could tell they were spikes not growths. There is a fourth something, but that still looks growth like.
