WOW Doc, great growing! Is this the one you had resting on spaghnum this past summer? I'm still waiting for spikes on my medusae....waiting, waiting, waiting...

Thank you all and as an added bonus this guy is putting out two new spikes!

Yes, Sandy I have wrapped the pseudobulbs that overhang the pot with moss so they will be rooted and ready for the knife this spring!

Here's a bit of trivia about this blossom.
The long filaments often get tangled, (they are very sticky) just a slight breeze can do it. If you hold the blossom under a gentle trickle of water, they will "unstick" and hang properly again.

Something else I noticed is that the flower is not long lasting... Al, was that your experience?

Yep, maybe a week but it was a beautiful week and all my family who saw it couldn't believe how interesting and wonderful it looked! Thanks once again for giving me a most wonderful gift!
