Default Bulbophyllum annandalei

Okay, finally used a web resizer and uploaded some of these pictures to my gallery. This is from a blooming in mid-August. The plant is very vigorous; it's got 4 new leads growing and has been throwing up groups of spikes like this for several months, though it's slowing down with the flowering now. It's in a 12-inch wooden basket (it's quite a rambler) and is potted in sphagnum and tree fern chunks/fiber. I soak it about every week or two and then just sit it near a bright window and let it do its thing.

Thanks, Robe! I like this one a lot; it's got a lot of interesting details to look at and it's big enough that they're easy to see. I'm hoping that it'll bloom even better next year with all of the new growth it's putting on right now.

Nice plant, congratulations!
I love the flowers... very strong, robust plant!

I have this bulbo, too. My b.annandalei bloomed for me in August with two spikes and in early September with one spike.
Do you mind if I post pictures in your thread?

Please do post pictures if you want, Nataliwind! Is your annandalei the reddish form like mine or the more yellowy one?

Neat. Both of them.

Very nice plant and photos, Nataliwind! The lip color on yours looks much more saturated and clear than mine, I like the stronger tonal contrast that gives the umbel when viewed from afar. This species really has some delightful diversity among individual plants. Thanks for sharing!
