Bulbophyllum longiflorum
One of the first bulbos that I ever bought on a trip to Krull Smith, 3 years ago...It has been a consistent bloomer. I do very little with this guy, he has been in the same strawberry basket with staylite gravel since I purchased it!

That's a great looking Bulbo. Laura, what's staylite gravel and where do I get it? And also, is the strawberry basket you're talking of, the same as the plastic ones you buy strawberries in at the markets? I never thought of using those for the bulbo's but what a great idea! I have a dentiferum on it's way to me so I'm going to go get some strawberries tomorrow! |

Staylite is granite that is heated until it explodes into little pieces, pretty much small grey chunks... I get it from an orchid supplier that comes to local orchid shows...I know that they originally get it from North Carolina...
