Default for those of you interested in my bulbo

here are a couple quick shots of my Bulb rothschildianum 'Henry Scarfield'. didn't put much thought into the pics, ive spent the evening getting ready for our society's annual auction tomorrow. so i grabbed the camera and took a couple quick snap shots. the pot its in is 8 inches in diameter, so this plant is quite large as bulbos go. the white disc behind the bloom pic is 3.5 inches across. so you get the general idea. i noticed the flowers are starting to collapse tonight so i thought i would take a few pictures. before they started to go the blooms were even more impressive. hope this gets you bulbo nuts the ya ya's you were looking for

Wow! Yeah, that's awesome. Huge Bulbo you got there, Paul. Thanks for the additional pics!

This is the same one you posted yesterday, right cowboy? Thanks for showing the size-to-scale on this. I thought it was huge when I first saw it. This is definitely on my 'must have' list. I'm already Bulbo nutty and this one is jaw-dropping.

How established is this one? How long ago did you pot it? Is it a division? Also, if you don't mind...how are you growing this...light/medium/water?

Yours is spectacular. This gets 10 big stars in my book! Let the hunt now begin as I search for one...

If you are really into getting a division of this contact Alan at Salzmans orchids. Thats where I picked up this one. Its under a little less than medium light. Likes to dry out a touch between waterings but not much. I guess the Henry Scarfield clone is the one that is a monster. Blows away all the little Red Chimneys floating around.

I was up at Alans rummaging around through plants and really wanted a bulbo but nothing caught my eye and then WHACK! I hit my head on this one dangling from the ceiling. As soon as I saw this monster I snagged it up, much to the dismay of the people I walked past to get to my car. I felt like the kid from willy wonka and ran home

OK, great, I just found his website. Don't see any Bulbo's but I'll email Alan and ask. Thanks for the contact, cowboy!

Yes, I've noticed also that not all Bulbos are created equal. Some need more drying than others such as the Fascinator another great one.

I am a copy-catter, I am a copy-catter

Paul, I placed my order with Alan, last night! I procrastinate when I have to fold laundry but never when it comes to affairs of the heart! I just love Henry. Can't wait.
