Talking Bulb. guttulatum blooms!

Well, those nubbins I started a thread about a month ago or so have come a long way since then!

A few of the buds are not open yet (there are 17 total on two spikes!) but I was too excited so thought I'd go ahead and try to share some pics.

I was excited about this guy, but even more so now because I didn't realize the coloring would be so strong!

Nice one Yvan. From my (failing) memory I cannot remember what my flowers looked like - my plant last flowered some years back. However I seem to think that my flowers looked less colourful than yours. Check out the photo of Bulbophyllum leopardinum in Bechtel et al "The Manual of Cultivated Orchid Species" or do a Google search for that name. Would be interested in what you think so please let us know the outcome of your researches. Thanks in advance

Thanks all!! Yeah, I am really superhappy with this guy. I'll post another photo or two when all the blooms are open.

Mike...Are you wondering if perhaps I have the leopard instead of the guttulate? It's definitely guttulatum. My lateral sepals have that folded-over thing going on (I just know there's a technical term for it!) And, the lip on mine is much smaller and more purple than the leopardinum's (and it's a "rocker" too!) Here are the IOSPE pages to comapre:
B. guttulatum: IOSPE PHOTOS
B. leopardinum: IOSPE PHOTOS

I love that leopardinum, tho! May have to look for one of them. (I just love spots!)
