Once the actual flowers start enlarging, the length of the spike shouldn't change much. I would not stake it. Roth should hold the spikes up naturally, it looks to be doing that here. Other Bulbo species tend to hang down, but I don't think this one will.
Looks around a week or so away from open flowers!

Thank you for the reply and advice. I won’t stake it and prefer not to if unnecessary. Hopefully I’ll be posting flowering pics in about a week.
