Default Bulbophyllum psychoon (mini)

The Bulbophyllum psychoon plant is very small and mostly suited for a shady wet environment. For me this is perfect. My plant's location is a very moist - Wardian Case, at approx 750-800 FCs light and 99% humidity. Temps range from a low of 62 degrees F at night during winter to as high as 75 degrees F during day in summer. The mount is Port Orford Cedar (hard to find nowadays) hand split for arrow blanks. I had picked some up back in the 1960s in southern Oregon and finally found a worth-while use for it!

The closeup was extreme. This little blossom is merely 2-3 mm size and hard to photograph.

Thanks for looking.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

So small, yet so happy. You have the touch! Wood, orchids, photography -- is there anything at which you are not an pro, Ross?

Very cute, Ross! I like that one!

How do you manage to keep the temps that low -- Wardian in the basement?

Exactly! Basement runs about 62 all night and I have a through-wall fan in the case that runs for 2-3 hours at night and exhausts the heat and some of the wetness. My Drac blooms all winter as well.
