DC--- sorry, somehow I missed this thread when you started it. I have a friend in KW that has a Bulbo. phal. that, I kid you not, has like 4 foot long leaves on it. And I don't mean 4 leaves that are each 1' long. I mean multiple leaves that are each 4' long. The thing is MASSIVE! He has it mounted on some huge slab of wood I think. Next time I talk to him I'll find out what kind of wood. He told me he's had the plant for 30 years or something like that and it has moved with him back and forth between Hawaii and KW a couple of times.
