Best place for a zygopetalum orchid?
Default Best place for a zygopetalum orchid?

Hello

Recently, I've aquired my first zygopetalum orchid. I did some research, but I'm not sure where I should place it. I understood that zygopetalum likes moderate temperatures with a slight drop at night and at least 50% humidity. I've got two possible places to put it: In the first room the day temperature is 21°C (70°F) and at night around 18°C (64.5°F) but because the central heating is mostly working, the humidity is quite low (under 50%). The temperatures in the second room is the day temperature 18°C (64.5°F) (sometimes even lower) en the night temperature is around 14-15°C (57°F-59°C) but the humidity way higher (around or above 50%). So where do you think where I should put it?

Thank you
Jasper

If the lows are a concern, mine are outside and take nighttime lows in the low 40s (Fahrenheit) fine.

With high humidity expect spotted leaves is air flow doesn't exist.

OK, then I will place it in the cooler room. I don't think the humidity is so high that it will cause spots and there is some airflow. Thank you for your help!
