Default Black sheath

Hello everyone!
Here again with another doubt in this cattleya. It seems that this sheath has turned black for so much water. I'll have to cut it? Will the black be contagious? I appreciate your advice. Greetings.

Gently open the sheath from the sides (don't cut, just pull, maybe use a fingefnail) You may well find that there is another, green, sheath in there. This is a characteristic of some Cattleya species, that transfers to the hybrids. It may be just fine. Or if there isn't a second sheath, you may see buds that are still OK But some Catts do bloom from brown sheaths.

Thank you, I thought the sheath was sick because of the blackish color it took. Right now I'm going to do what you tell me. Greetings.
