Natural versus infused blooms?

Is there a way to determine whether the blooms are natural or infused?

Bought a Phal noid at Trader Joe's yesterday. I am now wondering if the blooms are natural or infused. There is a tag from the grower, Westerlay, and I do see from their website that they sell infused blooms.

I really hope they are natural since the plant lost three blooms before I arrived home, but I was so enchanted with the color of the blooms of this one.

not from what I have seen they always cost more and have a label thats different. Plus if you look at stem it would be somewhat colored too.trader joes keeps the price down the colored phals are way more expensive.

A photo would help. Also, look at the base of the flower spike for evidence of a hole - if there is something suspicious, a photo of that part can help too.

That looks natural to me. Artificially colored blooms would have a color (i.e. blue) throughout the bloom. The picotee edge ( dark streaks) is a specific trait that is bred for. Very pretty.

Seems that lately all my decisions seem a little off. Since the color follows the veination of the petals, I thought it might be a dye job. And with the state of the spike, these flowers will not last long. I am not a huge fan of Phalenopsis nor of patterned blooms, but this one really caught my eye.
