Default M. tenuifolia brown spots and dry tips

I converted my M. tenuifolia to S/H and everything has been going great so far. There is already some new growth sprouting and it has remained perky. My concern is that a couple of the leaves have brown tips and further down the leaves are some brown spots. Is this normal?

I would probably chalk that up to the transition period, myself. Tenuifolia doesn't like to dry out, in my experience, so if any of the roots died back, that could certainly account for the dark tips. If the brown spots aren't spreading, I wouldn't worry about them.

What fishmom said was pretty much what I was going to say except that maybe some of the roots might have died back due to being kept too wet. Semi-hydroponics materials such as LECA or Hydroton retain a lot of moisture. The roots may either need to adjust, or if the plant is not adjusting well, then you may have to take it out of SH.

I'd also like to say is that what you're describing is not normal for the plant.
