would like you to tell me: What have I done wrong? My last phalaenopsis have only 4 or 5 flowers in each spike and are mature plants, why does this happen? Thanks in advance and greetings to all.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

The nº of flowers is, in part, determined by genetics.
Environmental conditions also play a role.
What is the name of your phal? Does it used to have much more flowers than that?

Did it have more buds that fell off? Are you growing it indoors, or outside?

If it had more flowers in the past, the reduction could suggest there is something lacking in the culture.

A biggie, especially for Floridians, is too much light, but it could also be due to overfeeding.

These orchids are hybrid but other times they made a beautiful flowering, maybe this year they suffered colder than normal because they bloomed late compared to the others that I have. I noticed that they got up to 2 spikes but with 4 or 5 flowers each, and they previously reached up to 8 or more. I irrigate with distilled water and one ml of fertilizer per gallon, maybe not all react the same or it may be too light . The first ones that bloomed, in the month of January, have up to 10 and more flowers, that's why it's my question. All are treated in the same way.

And for how long were they under your care when they bloomed 8 or more?
