How do YOU soak your orchids?

Put them in the sink and water them heavily. Wait 30 minutes and do it again.

Wow! Thank you all so much for your responses. In everything I've been reading I think I'm going to do as Dolly said, and Judy. I will put them in individual containers and soak them the night before, drain them well and water them just before I leave. This is specifically for the very small miniature orchids that I have in bark, that require water everyday or every other day. And I will take them off the heat Mat and move them from the light. I'm not at all worried about the large ones. I will just water them heavily before I go. Thank you again everyone. I'm going to see my mother whom I haven't seen in many many years. And you have put my mind at ease!
