I was going to ask that next, as it happens. I've just moved to the UK and found the water in London to be much harder than what I'm used to. So it's really OK to water them from the tap?

Mine were all fine with London water.

If there is drainage in that pot, it should not need to be repotted this year. Maybe next. People who really need to repot are those who buy orchids that are stuck in sphagnum moss-- but even then, if the orchid is doing fine, it really can stay in that medium.
