Default Phalaenopsis leaf tip problems

Hello. New leaves are unaffected. Temperature is never below 62F. Fertilize lightly so I don't think it's fert burn. I'm not seeing this in all Phals and roots look good in all but one. I haven't tested PH in my solution for a long time and am wondering if a nutrient deficiency could be the issue. Has anyone ever see this before?

It looks too much light together with age. Note that the other phals next to it have the same symptoms and the affected leaves are the oldest.

Question Gebmd123 (Gene)

My first post so if inappropriate just ignore. I am a retired physician-surgeon and started my orchid hobby about 3 months ago. All are phalaenopsis except two. I have cloned several with keiki paste. I was patting myself on the back as if I had completed some complicated procedure when 4 sites developed keikis. To my dismay they have stopped growing. They all have leaves but no roots. What I know about this profession I learned from reading the literature and when typed in its entirety it fits on my thumb nail. Can anyone help a new guy with age related atrophy of the hippocampus (brain)?

Welcome, Gene! There is a section for introductions in the Welcome part of the forum--right at the very top when you look at the menu.

Regarding your keikis, be aware that orchids in general are very slow growing plants. If your parent plants are healthy, they will eventually make roots on those bables. Meanwhile, continue to give the parents the best care that you can, to encourage the keiki's development. You don't want to think about keiki removal until the roots are well developed and 2-3 inches long. It can seem like a long wait!

Also, you don't say where you are, but if your temperatures are cooling off, that can slow the growth too.

Rbarata, thank you for the reply. I believe my light is dialed in pretty well as I have other Phals under the same intensity producing the same size or larger new leaves. With age I am used to a single bottom leaf slowly yellowing and falling off. I'm not sure whats going on here though. It's new to me.
