The plant looks good but you have few problems:
Dendrobium is very temperamental when you disturb the roots and the season when the plant is disturbed is not good.
However, patiently, even if the plant loses its leaves, you will have flowers the following year...
I do not even know what to advise you ... You can mount the plant on a piece of wood and assure it high humidity. Do not wet the leaves, even if they fall.
When starting to grow new roots you can wet it regularly but until that moment (I suspect that it will take 2-6 months) do not abuse the plant, the water is more harmful. Careful, do not touch the base of the plant with sphagnum or any other material that retains water.
Ziplock is very dangerous in the case of dendrobium, you need to have air circulation otherwise it becomes food for the fungus

Phyllosticta capitalensis

That is Den Spectabile? If so that is a robust growing plant. If you can keep the humidity up around the leaves, it should take off. Could you set it in a low bowl of damp moss with a bag or terrarium or something around the whole plant? It will need a little air circulation but I just had good success doing that with a rescue Catt.

It is a cross of Dendrobium kingianum, tetragonum, bigibbum, and falcorostrum.

Nexogen is correct, you will need to circulate some air in whatever container you use. At this point, you might as well try our suggestions as you haven't got much to lose. 😉

Immerse the entire plant in a KelpMax solution for a couple of hours. That'll accelerate root growth significantly.

i think I see a new root visible in image 5792. It would probably be OK potted up in sphagnum. The big problem with potting is to stabilize the plant, This can be facilitated by firmly tying the plant to a small stake (or wood barbecue skewer) and then the moss, packed firmly around the stake low in the pot, should be able to hold it. (higher up, at the base of the plant, let the moss be a little looser. Assuming plastic pot, if you need to stabilize more you can poke holes at three points around the pot, and attach ties to the stake so that they pull evenly in each direction.

Ok, I have a humidifier that I could use. I got sphagnum moss. How do I increase air circulation around the plant? A fan? Or something else? Thanks guys!

If it's in a bag with the top open, just make sure there is a gentle air movement, ceiling fan, computer fan etc. Or, you can tent it and cut some holes in the top of the bag. Stagnant sir is a no, no but, if it roots quickly, as I suspect it will, you should be fine.

I brought home a rescue Catt. ES and OW both suggested it go into some kind of enclosure. Being the kind of girl who cares about looks, I put a layer of moss in this and wet it. I set the pot with plant inside, put a clear vegetable bag on top. Once a day I took the bag off and the ceiling fan was running. I misted lightly and a few minutes later put the bag back on. It hardly took two weeks before it started to root and I took it out and put it on a shelf. When I divide or detach anything, I generally throw a bag over it until it adjusts. Long term, no, short term will be ok

Here is what I did for my rootless miltonia orchid. It seems I only have rootless plants 😞😲 but is this good?
