Just to give you an update - the rescue phal is doing really well now, lots of strong roots and putting up a new flower spike too now!
I was so encouraged, I bought another £3 rescue from the same store last weekend. I think because they neglect them so terribly, they get to the really poorly, about-to-be-thrown-out stage so quickly that the plant still has quite a lot of vigour in it, which is maybe why they seem to recover so fast.
Anyway, here is the latest - I've taken a bit more of a risk with this one as it only had a couple of good roots, but it has such an unusual flower, I couldn't resist - love the lime green and pale pink combo!
