As mine was a division that I brought I dont suppose it will flower for quite some time. But I can wait. just hope its worth waiting for? Enjoy yours.

Well they bloom from very new growth - so perhaps the wait will not be as long as you might think

don't know if you can tell in the pic but spike is from that small new growth

I have a Bulbo trigonosepalum (doggy doo)! Its smells horrible But I love it. Sniff Sniff yep it deffiantly smells like dog dung. I believe it has something to do with being pollinated by a fly.

I'm speechless.....I am also green as far as orchids and please somebody tell me that is a joke! Our beloved orchids couldnt possibly do that? really?

There's more than just an orchid for every person, there's an orchid for many, many bugs too, including that lovely doggy doo for flies. It doesn't stop there either. Some orchids are downright sexy! They mimic female insects (usually wasps) to attract males of the same species, and you know what those guys are thinking with!

Pheromones..ok, I get that, I'm still just happy the chids I have smell good!

Hi.. My house is filled with the scent from my Dendrobium Delicatum... very strong! I just brought it in yesterday with 20 flower spike's. This morning I had to open up window's to let some out! I also agree about the Zygopetulun.. I have 'Advance Australia'..
