Default potting oncidium? Do I partial bury the bulb?

Hi just got some f/s oncidium Sherry baby it came bare rooted and I need to repot them.

It is growing at an angle of 45%, do I pot it at an angle so the rhizome is horizontal to the bark and the bulbs are at an angle or should I pot the bulbs straight up therefore the back bulb would be 50% burried?

I am worried that if I bury 50% of the bulb it it will rot?

I can't mount it as anything I mount dies.

thanks for your help

Sharry Baby, like many oncids, tend to be "climbers", as you have observed.

For your bare-root plant, you're better off planting it at an angle, rather than submerging a back 'bulb, as you assessment of rot is right-on.
