I bought a "Dennis Choice" x "Tradition" orchid & the flower (?) part lasted 2-3 months. Now it's brown & shriveled. Should I let the flower & stem fall off & wait for another to grow up? Or should it all go in the trash? The leaves still look healthy & the decorative (?) moss is still green. I don't believe it's been over-watered.
Cut the stem with a sterilized tool. That particular growth will not flower again, but a new growth (or two) will start shortly and they should flower.
Thanks for the advice. My plant is still green and appears to be recovering nicely from the trauma of losing a beautiful flower. It's still in the sun & not in the trash.
