Hey everyone! I thought it might be good to review where everyone gets their orchids from. I'll start with places I know of:

Andy's Orchids
Peter Lin Diamond Orchids
Botanica Ltd
Santa Barbara Orchid Estate
Louisiana Orchid Collection (laorchid.com)
Orchids Limited

Kawamoto and Odom's orchids if it's online and something specific I want. However, I really like going to local nurseries and buying NO IDs because they are usually cheap, like 5.00 and I got one for 4.00. I like shows and festivals. I will also buy the little baggies at lowes or Home Depot if they have one I like.

Same here as you Jenascrich. I also get a fair amount from Carter and Holmes. I like their seedlings as it gives me practice in growing orchids to bloom.

Another vote for Carter and Holmes. High end grocery stores and home improvement stores seem to get unusual selections as well.

But don't pass up an orchid show EVER.

I've purchased from the following and was pleased with the plants:
Brookside Orchids
Odom's
Akatsuka
Kalapana
Owens (name has recently changed with ownership)
Santa Barbara Orchid Estate
Sapphire Dragon Orchids/Orchidvault
Orchidview
Camp Lot A Noise Tropicals
Tropical Orchid Farm
Gold Country Orchids
Big Leaf Orchids
Orchidacea
Orchid Dynasty
Carter and Holmes
Miranda Orchids
Andy's Orchids

Orchid shows and society meetings, in which the speaker brings plants for sale are also good opportunities for shopping. My collection grew more after joining the local society, and as you get to know other growers you will find people willing to swap or give you divisions of their plants.
