Phalaenopsis gigantea--Fungal infection or virus? Male
Exclamation Phalaenopsis gigantea--Fungal infection or virus?

My phalaenopsis gigantea seedling has these tiny black dots and patches of darker green on its leaves. What is it?I am worried and it was really expensive

I don't think it's anything to worry about. Those are not signs of virus. The small black spots might be a little leaf spotting fungus but that's not a big deal. Clean the leaves off with some soap and water and just keep an eye on it.

I agree with Tucker on the fungal spots. The different colors of green on the leaves could be a calcium deficiency. Check your fertilizer to see if it has calcium in it.

If it is calcium, adding it to your fertilizer could even out the color on the leaves.

Thank you for the replies. I washed the leaves and put some eggshells on the medium already
