Please help my Phal roots

I am a brand new orchid owner. Just bought my Phal 2 weeks ago. Reading some info last night and decided to have a look at the roots. There are some white mushy ones. What I am concerned about is that even the green healthy looking ones look yellowish white bear the base of the plant. What should I cut? Can it be saved? Blooming beautifully but one leaf has started to get a spot. Thanks for any info.
