I don't know what orchid this would be ... but this is my ultimate wish list for the perfect orchid
I see, but which one would you choose from your collection?

I am a cattleya fan but my mind is open to any kind of orchid. If you suggest a species, could you also include the variety of that one as well?

If you can only choose one of those seventy in your collection, which one would you pick? I know it's a tough call but it's interesting to learn. Can you also give me reason why you would pick that one? Thank you

I can narrow down to 2 Vanda Luzonica b/c they are hard to find and the flowers are lovely and my Degarmoara Winter Wonderland 'White Fairy' big flowers and smells wonderful and has special meaning to me b/c of how I got it. These are kind of hard to get also. I really love all my orchids though so will never have just one.

For me, it would be the vanda sanderiana for it's characteristic, history and rarity in nature. When I was young I told myself that I would have to get one when I'm older because 18 years ago it wasn't a cheap plant at all. They can be found in a very small region in southern Philippines and needs specific conditions to thrive. Growing up in the Philippines, homes that has a display of vanda Sanderiana exudes wealth and class. I have one that I acquired last summer and the only thing I don't like about it is how big the plant is. It's like a small tree but at the same time it adds to it's beauty even when not in flower

Make sure no one is aroung and take them all.

Wrong question!
You don't take anything from the jungle and just enjoy watching and leave them where they are.

Ok, I admit taking an orchid out of her habitat in the jungle is wrong. Let me rephrase it like this: If you can only keep one and only one orchid from your collection due to any possible reasons (moving, financing, space issue etc.), which one will you take the "sacred oath" to keep?

Is there any special reason that you love this one so much?

I would choose a dendrobium spectabile.
It's an amazing orchid, my favourite one!
It's massive, 120 cm tall, and it has beautiful flowers.
I'm completely in love with it!

It is one of 3 plants that I have that I've owned for 30 years. Since the question said pick one, and IMO this is the best of the three, it's my choice. It has bloomed reliably for me every year since I got it from Jones & Scully in 1985. BTW the other 2 are Cattleya Wayndora and Cattleya Orglade's Blaze.
