Default Increase humidity

You can also place a small fan and have it blowing on a tray under your orchids or some other water container. It will increase the evaporation rate. Be careful not to blow directly on the orchids since it can dry them out as well. Be especially careful of any flower spikes.

Hmmmm. My fans blow directly on my orchids 24/7 with no adverse affect. In fact many are in spike or new growth. I haven't done anything to try (in vain I am sure) to raise humidity with the fans.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Use a real humidifier, they do the job and they're not that expensive.

Default Thank you all

Thank you very much for your responses, I think I only realized how important correct humidity to orchids is - didn’t occur to me with my houseplants and therefore I wasn’t paying it appropriate attentions with orchids either, I guess.
Well, I have purchased a mini mist fogger as advised by CodiMN. Now I only need to buy pvc protector for my cabinet where most of my chids are and also correct size bowl for my new fogger…. I think I am going ask my boss to leave earlier as ` I need to go to dentist`
Will post photo once done, really hope it will make a difference.

Ta x

CodiMN – does your fogger splash water around a bit as well? I am not sure if it ment to do it...

With a small humidifier, with a fan-part as of the humidifier, you can increase both humidity and air flow. I can run mine at several air speeds. The extra humidity is not only good for your orchids, it is good for you also.
