Default creative potting

I have a phal that is quite large and decided it likes its roots outside the pot...so my cat knocked it over and dumped it everywhere....now i have to try and fit this guy back into a pot - after i trimmed the dead roots - uh huh....

time to get creative....strawberry baskets are awesome pots! (free and i can easily cut them to fit..)

and now to let him rest - his roots hang onto my table....they got that long when it was in the terrarium - its too big now...

I like the look of it. Sort of like Vanda roots. But it would be hard not to snap some off when watering. One of my kitties would be VERY interested in those roots. 🙀

Wow! That's something else. That's roots all over, wow! Isn't it still thriving if it's just roots like that?

so far its happy as is, but it grew the roots when it was inside my terrarium - and now that its out, the roots are slowly drying out due to the lower humidity. so hopefully I can get a few new roots to pot themselves. its putting out a new something soon, I see the little bump on the side.
