Default How long from sphag n bag to roots?

I've just got a couple of catts that arrived a bit on the sorry side: roots mostly dried off, pseudobulbs shrunken and sad looking. I cut off the dead stuff, washed the roots for a few minutes in KLN water, I put them in a plastic bag with a moist paper towel (with same KLN water), and left them out of the light. Any idea how long it will take for these things to recover? how long can they be out of the light anyway?

It could take several months, it takes a lot of patience!

Warm, humid and indirect light (not none) will accelerate the process.

Yeah I have two bagged up, trying to recover them from the root rot I so violently inflicted upon them! lol... It's painstaking, I only bagged them a few days ago now I know I have several weeks to wait...

I see that you posted this a couple weeks ago... how are your 'chids doing now?
