Question WHICH IS BETTER?

I have been trying to locate some Dyna-Gro K-L-N in my area and no one seems to have it in stock...but then today I see something about Superthrive. Are these chemicals similar? Are they different? Does one work better than another...I am just looking from an experience point of view at which would be the best way for me to go...because...well I want nothing but the best for my orchids.

KLN is a root stimulator and Superthrive is more of a vitamin bath...helpful when your plants are being stressed. Don't know which is "better" but what I do is add a few drops to my water when it's feeding day. I alternate between the two

I can get Superthrive in Lowe's but the KLN is not usually available locally...some hydroponics stores carry it so you might want to check around in your area. I'm waiting for a delivery from our friend Ray

Hi Zach,

This is my own opinion of course but the best fertilizer I ever used was called NATURIZE. I was headed to Wal-Mart awhile back around 2003 and was listening to the radio and they were doing a promotional thing about it at Wal-Mart in Palatka. So I bought a bag for test. Back then and still today I was growing different shrubs for Bonsai so I mixed it up and put it on the plants and it looked liked everything just exploded in about 2 weeks. The growth was incredible!!!....but sorry to say and I don’t know why Wal-Mart stopped carrying it. Since then I’ve experimented with cheaper fertilizers and more expensive ones but none of them have come close to the growth I got with Naturize. Even the so called Orchid fertilizers to me are not so great. As far as this Superthrive goes I’ve never tried it myself….it seems to be one of the biggest debates amongst plant growers some say its great others call it a snake oil…I am a big skeptic when I hear about miracle fertilizers for growing things…in the end the only way you will know for sure is to try it for yourself…I hope this helps some.

Default Superthrive

I have been using Superthrive regularly for six months now, and every single orchid has developed new roots and canes/bulbs and is healthier than ever before.
I use it at full recommended strength every other watering. I use a weak solution of fertilizer in conjunction with the Superthrive. They are a good combination. (I can tell the difference from when I was just using fertilizer)
It is relatively inexpensive, easy to find, and I think it does what it advertises.
Just my humble and non-expert opinion.
Chris
